Teen Choice Awards 2011: Die Gewinner

Zum zwölften Mal wurden am Sonntag die Teen Choice Awards 2011 nach einer Internetabstimmung verliehen. Mehrfachgewinner waren wie immer Filme und Serien mit Vampiren, dazu Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift und das Harry Potter-Film-Franchise.

Zum zwölften Mal wurden die Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles vergeben. Durch die erstmalig live im Fernsehen übertragene Preisverleihung führte Kaley Cuoco aus der beliebten Comedy-Serie The Big Bang Theory.

Obwohl sich unter den Nominierten in Film und Fernsehen eine große Anzahl auch für ein älteres Publikum interessante Projekte befanden (etwa Fringe), entschieden sich die US-Teenager letztlich vor allem für ihre bekannten Favoriten: The Vampire Diaries, den aktuellen Teil der „Twilight“-Saga, „Harry Potter“, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez und dazu Taylor Swift. In Sachen Sommerserie setzte sich in allen drei Kategorien Pretty Little Liars durch (mit den Darstellern Lucy Hale, Ian Harding), in Sachen Drama-Serie ähnlich Gossip Girl (mit Blake Lively und Chace Crawford).

Bei den Film-Comedys gelang Bad Teacher der Hattrick (Cameron Diaz und Justin Timberlake). Als Sommerfilm konnte sich „Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2“ mit den Darstellern Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson durchsetzen, während „Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1“ in der Kategorie Sci-Fi/Fantasy-Film zwei von drei Preisen ergatterte (Film, Watson als Hauptdarstellerin). Dazu gesellten sich Preise für den besten Filmbösewicht (Tom Felton) und den besten Kuss (Watson und Radcliffe).

In Sachen Reality-Serie halten es die Teens mit Jersey Shore mit Achtungserfolgen für Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Kurios zu nennen ist sicherlich die Wahl von Justin Bieber als Serienbösewicht für seinen Auftritt bei CSI: Crime Scene Investigation und die von Linda Hunt als Darstellerin in einer Action-Serie.
